Classification and mode of action
: Soil acidity is an universal
problem being faced by the farmers all
over the world.Acidity in soils occurs
due to constant use of acid forming fertilizers
and, due to sandy nature of some soils,
the soil gets acidic, also when there
is leaching of basic cations due to heavy
rainfall in some areas ,the soils become
acidic. Most farmers tend to over look
the problem and they continue farming.
The net result is that the crops fail.
The farmers then apply impure limestone
in most cases which takes time to dissolve
and does not give immediate benefit to
the crop. The other problems of acidic
soils are:

Acid soils are deficient
in calcium, magnesium, potassium, boron,
zinc and copper. Calcium and magnesium
deficiencies are generally limited to
acid soils.

Nodulation failure
in legumes, due to molybdenum deficiency.

Aluminum becomes
increasingly soluble as the soil pH
decreases below 5.0. The soil solution
aluminum reacts with root cell wall
materials and cell membranes, restricting
cell wall expansion and hence root growth.

In some acid soils
manganese levels may reach very high
levels. Many plants will then absorb
more manganese than they require internally,
leading to toxic effects .
Product Potential:
Farmers can use Trasco Bioteen Krishi chun
to elevate the level of calcium ,sulphur,and
magnesium status of the soil by applying
the above product,on their fields before
sowing a crop.. This product is specially
useful in crops like oil seeds where the
oil content increases ,and in cruciferous
crops where the oleoresin content increases..A
general application of the product will
help in the increase in yield of the crop.
The Ph of the soil will increase and common
calcium deficiencies seen in crop plants
will vanish, apart from this the plants
will be able to utilize all the food materials
that the farmers give to the plants.
Trasco Bioteen Krishi Chun is based on
Calcium Carbonate which is in pure form
and reacts with the soil very fast with
over 80% neutralizing capacity. This has
an advantage over using either CaO or
Ca(OH)2 (ordinary limestone.) Apart from
this Trasco Bioteen Krishi Chun has Magnesium
and Sulphur which the plant needs in good
quantities for growth and development.
Dosage Dosage : Can
be applied during land preparation in
the final phase. Apply the product @ 15
Kgs /Acre and the crop can be sown. Ensure
that there is moisture in the soil.
