sandy nature of some soils, the soil gets acidic, also when there is leaching of basic cations due to heavy rainfall in some areas ,the soils become acidic. Most farmers tend to over look the problem and they continue farming. The net result is that the crops fail. The farmers then apply impure limestone in most cases which takes time to dissolve and does not give immediate benefit to the crop.
Dosage:
If the ph of the soil is acidic and shows up Calcium deficiency often then use @10-12 Kgs /Acre by incorporating the material into the soil during land preparation in the flower main beds or in the main field for vegetables.
